The Nerja Donkey Sanctuary

A small, family-run independant donkey sanctuary in Spain, run by volunteers and funded entirely by donations. We are open to visitors 365 days a year. Dedicated to the care and welfare of donkeys.

Our donkey sanctuary is located in the picturesque town of Nerja on the southern coast of Spain in the Costa del Sol. We were recently featured on Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares and we care for abandoned and mistreated donkeys, mules and horses.
